Research, as well as teaching, is a main duty of department’s staff.

General research topic is:

The improvement of pharmaceutical system activity and elaboration of regulations in the field of pharmaceutical activity.

Research domains:

a)      Management of pharmaceutical enterprises: financial, resource, personnel etc

b)      Regulation of pharmaceutical activity and elaboration of politics in the field

c)      Management of public procurement of medicines and medicines reimbursement systems

d)      Marketing of pharmaceuticals: price, product, promotion policies etc

e)      History of pharmacy

f)        Pharmacoepidemiological studies and rational use of medicines

g)      Pharmaceutical care

h)      Quality management of pharmacy services

Multiple studies are being done during doctoral and master studies.

1. Priscu Vitalie, assistant, PhD student is being performing research study on ”Pharmaceutical and economic aspects of drugs using in tuberculosis treatment”. 2. Chițan Elena, assistant, PhD student is being performing research study on ”Optimization of reimbursed medicines management”. Scientific supervisor – Mihail Brumărel, PhD, associate professor.

3. Şchiopu Tatiana, assistant, PhD student is being performing research study on ”The management of pharmaceutical assistance of elderly”. Scientific supervisor – Stela Adauji, PhD, associate professor.
